Prelude

For the month of December games will be set in various historical periods of Colorado Springs. This will help flesh out the player characters history, the world of Darkness history of Colorado springs and to help insure that both Players and Storytellers have a grasp of the new rules for our new venue.

Primary as of Jan 1

The Prince is dead. The only Prince the city has ever known has fallen to the beast. The power vacuum left in his wake will leave ripples in Both Vampire and Mortal society for years to come. Who will rise to take the reigns of power and who will skulk to cut the ropes out from under them.

For further information about the city, see the City book.

Character restrictions:

All characters are welcome; however, we do limit the number of special
Approval characters in play at any given time.

Proxy rules:

As per current Cam supplement. Proxied characters face the same potential Possibility that their character may die or worse at the game. All players who proxy characters are assumed to understand this aspect. The characters that are proxied must be sent within 48 hours to the DST and the VST (contact info at the beginning of VSS as per our current supplement (PC sheet, XP log, summary of what the character is doing, and any special approvals (rst nst etc) along with the proxied PC’s Storyteller's name, cam #, and email.

Further so that the ST staff can portray the proxied character to the best of our abilities the following information should be included.

Clearly Stated goals for your character and a description of how the character behaves and acts.

Contingency Plans. Please include Contingencies for your character as even the best-laid plans are sometimes disrupted. Without the contingency plans, the storyteller staff will make decisions for the character. These decisions may or may not be what the players would have done.

Travel risks:

Hazardous. Travel to this Domain can be achieved through flight, Automobile, Train, over land, etc. There are dangers to any of these travel methods, however over land is quite probably the worst choice due the relative geographic isolation of the city.

Challenges:

All characters played at the game need to have a current copy of their XP log, character sheet, and I must have a copy of all Requiem PC’s brief history/background who are in this venue before they are allowed to play their character. This does not extend to those who are visiting from outside the domain, but I will need to see their pc sheet, xp log, and any special approval numbers from the approval database.

Special Items

All items must be represented by a signed item card or noted on your character sheet. If you don't have a card you don't have the item. All rituals, curses, blessings, special retainers, magic items, and items that have discipline/power/other affects upon them, require that the ST's be notified before that character(s) begin game play. Failure to do so will cause the item/affect/etc to not come into play during the game note some rituals may be cast in game but that can take time. If I receive an email 24 hours prior to game start listing the rituals/items/things along with confirmation by the players storyteller I can allow them into play during our sanctioned game as the item/ritual/thing card now is in my hand. However they must get confirmation from the DST or me that the email was received.

Rules during game

All rules calls are made to the best knowledge of the Storyteller, and are made in the spirit of the sanctioned rules (see the Tome for its commentary on this subject.) No discussion of rules shall be made that interrupt game play, unless they directly cause the death of a player character, or are incorrect as seen by the higher ranking ST (narrator, VST, DST, RST, NST). Discussions/Arguments concerning rules calls will be made after game. Failure to abide by this can result in suspension of play for the character and or the player being asked to leave the game. With the loss of that games XP and possibly a greater loss of xp depending on the extent of the game play disruption.

If any player has a rules question they should present such question to a presiding ST before the action that the rule is associated with. Example, if a player is unsure if a discipline is a mental or social challenge, ask the ST. Example if a player is unsure as to whether or not they can use an contact for an action, ask the ST.

This is a World wide game, and as such, all plotlines worldwide are welcome.
Some may have more or less of an effect than others, depending on the plot and depending on the Domain Storyteller or the Venue Storyteller.

Antagonists/Dangers

The greatest danger to the kindred is each other. The world is created however, and if you wish to find out what else is out there, go out and look for yourself, at your own risk.

If you want to plot and scheme, so be it. If you want to go and fight, I can run that too. I have one rule. For every action or inaction, there are always consequences. They might happen right away, or they might just come back later to haunt you. I track each and every kindred's action, and record them.
There is always a consequence, you had best be prepared to face them.

Experience Award Guidelines

The base experience point award will be 3 per game. Various factors, including exceptional RP and costuming can raise that to a maximum of 5. Up to 3 experience point per month can be earned for activities nor related to attending a game i.e. downtimes and online play. Without appropriate approval no more experience points are to be awarded to a character than the monthly maximum as detailed in the Camarilla Supplement.
